We were asked by Planarama to print and apply some double sided vinyl stickers to these acrylic display cases for The British Museum. So we set our HP 800W Latex printer to work printing these stunning double sided images on clear self adhesive vinyl.
It never ceases to amaze me watching the printer build up the layers on the clear vinyl – colour image, white flood, then another colour image. Creating the double sided stickers.
After carefully applying the stickers to the acrylic cases, along with the solid base the end result looked quote impressive.
The cases will be used to display jewellery in the gift shop and will be visible from behind as well as the front, which is why the stickers needed to be double sided. The sand dune effect on the pyramid displays also needed to be CAD cut to shape before installation. We also printed the detailing on the small plinths that will be placed in the display cases to hold the trinkets and jewellery.
